un quotidien anglais vient de publier la première photo de Boy George en prison. Scoop People vous avait raconté, comment l'ancienne star des années 80 avait été condamnée à 15 mois de prison ferme pour avoir torturé un gogo dancer en l'attachant pendant plusieurs heures à un radiateur.

Voici donc la première photo volée de boy George en prison publiée par le quotidien Daily Mirror. Selon les informations du quotidien le chanteur est très affaibli et très marqué par son incarcération, d'autant plus que -comme on peut le voir sur la photo- il est harcelé par ses compagnons de cellule qui lui demandent de signer à longueur de journée des autographes !

Bappi Lahiri is never short of surprises. Just when his new self-rendered number India Se Aaya Mera Dost in Chandni Chowk To China hit the charts, he springs another surprise.

"I've an unreleased song with Boy George When Will You Learn From Your Tears and Suffering coming up for release very shortly," says Bappi.

The song was recorded for a film called Deewana Hoon Main Tera some time ago. "But the song was delayed. We're ready with it now. It's a fusion song. I do raga, Boy George does pop. We had so much fun doing the song together. Boy George was filled with masti. You'll love the track."

Bappi Lahiri is surprised to know Boy George is incarcerated. "Oh! What happened? Why is he in jail? When I collaborated with him he was perfectly normal. At that time he was a brilliant singer and a good human being. I don't know about his personal life. But I can tell you this much. He was great fun to work with."

Bappi then adds, "I recorded my song with him in London. But Boy George has also been to Mumbai. He recorded a song with Asha Bhosle composed by R.D Burman. It's sad to know he has come to this. It's very important to keep your creativity alive."

"I've had the opportunity work with several international musicians like Boy George, Samantha Fox and Apache Indian. And recently, my song Jimmy Jimmy from Disco Dancer featured in the Adam Sandler comedy Don't Mess With Zohan. My name was mentioned in the end-credits. Nowadays at home I'm also singing for other composers like A. R. Rahman and Vishal-Shekhar," adds Bappi.

About his track Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost being turned to India Se Aaya Mera Dost in Chandni Chowk To China Bappida laughs, "By changing Bambai to India we gave a global feel to my old song from the film Aap Ki Khatir."

Il est loin le temps où Boy George, look improbable et perruque sur la tête, se dandinait en demandant "Do you really want to hurt me ?".  Elle est loin l'époque où le leader de Culture Club jouait les DJ dans le monde entier. Alors qu'il aurait pu être un porte-parole de la communauté gay, comme George Michael ou Elton John, Boy George préfère s'enliser dans une situation qui déstabilise de plus en plus en plus ses fans...  Ainsi, après avoir été reconnu coupable de séquestration sur un escort boy qui aurait refusé ses avances, (pour relire les déclarations de la victime, c'est par là) le chanteur britannique a écopé vendredi de quinze mois de prison ferme, comme nous vous l'annoncions. L'artiste caractériel a, comme on s'en doute, plutôt mal accepté cette nouvelle et on en a d'ailleurs eu la preuve avec cette photo de KEVIN : pas content Boy !

Incarcéré à la prison de Pentonville dans le nord de Londres, le talentueux chanteur-DJ (47 ans) a trouvé une sage reconversion : il sert les repas à la cantine de la prison et est rémunéré 6 £ / semaine. Pas de quoi acheter un yacht, certes, mais cette occupation a le mérite d'être légale. On ne peut que lui souhaiter que ses craintes de subir une quelconque agression, des autres détenus, ne se vérifient pas et que son séjour à l'ombre lui servira de leçon...

En attendant que Docteur Boy le prisonnier s'en sorte, si Mister George l'artiste vous manque, vous pouvez toujours vous précipiter sur le dernier album de Régine avec qui il a fait un duo.

RICK Astley has stepped in to replace Boy George on the Here & Now Tour after the former Culture Club singer was jailed for 15 months for handcuffing a male escort to a wall and beating him with a metal chain.

The man behind the hits Never Going To Give You Up and Together Forever will now headline the eighties tour which comes to the Trent FM Arena on May 16.

He'll be joined by Kim Wilde, Howard Jones, Kid Creole & the Coconuts, Altered Images, Brother Beyond and Hazel O Connor.

Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, was handed his sentence on Friday for falsely imprisoning Audun Carlsen during a drug-fuelled naked photoshoot at his flat in Shoreditch, east London.

SHAMED pop star Boy George sits in his cell writing notes — in the first picture of him taken inside.

The roly poly singer scribbles on a pad during the first hours of his 15-month sentence.

George, 47, is said to be terrified of attack in jail and has already angered fellow inmates by lining up a soft job in the canteen.

He is set to earn £6 a week as a server, dishing out meals to lags on A Wing of HMP Pentonville in North London, where he is doing time for imprisoning and beating a rent boy.

One inmate told a pal on the outside: “It won't go down well if he's seen to get special privileges. People have to wait weeks before they're given cushy jobs.”

Gay George revealed his fear of being targeted over his sexuality while in a holding cell at court on Friday.

Richard Lyttle, 40, who was up on a driving charge, said: “He was shaking like a leaf, a total wreck.

“He kept sobbing, ‘I can't go to jail, I'll be killed'.” Richard said he was warned: “Don't talk to him, he's a batty boy (homosexual).”

The singer with hit Eighties band Culture Club had microwaved fish, chips and mushy peas in a plastic container for his first prison meal.

The inmate said: “It was bland. The dish was tastier than the fish. It must have been a shock.

"Conditions here are rubbish and so is the food, nothing like he's used to.

“Prison is a great leveller. George has been very quiet. He's not been crying but seems to be in another world and sleeps a lot.

“They've put him in a cell with a Rasta guy to protect him and there is always a guard close by.”

But the inmate, who snapped George on a mobile phone, added: “A celeb is a celeb in here. People love fame. Everyone remembers Culture Club.”

George, real name George O'Dowd, was jailed for shackling Norwegian Audun Carlsen, 29, to a hook at his flat in Shoreditch, East London, and hitting him with a chain.

Boy George sits forlornly on a bed in his tiny jail cell signing autographs for fellow prisoners.

It is the first picture of the fallen pop star since he was jailed on Friday.

A prison source said George's cellmate, a large Jamaican called Dread, is acting as his minder. He added: “The prison authorities thoughthe might be picked on for being weak so they are paying this guy with cigarettes and polo mints to protect him.

“They are normally given to new inmates as an one-off but this guy is getting regular supplies to look after George.”

The source said ex-Culture Club singer George, 47, who has been wearing a T-shirt featuring a pair of glittery handcuffs, needed a minder because he seemed disorientated by life in London's Pentonville Prison.

He added: “It's like he's in another world. He looks scared.

“He keeps forgetting where his cell is whenever he leaves it. He loses his bearings.” The source said prisoners have been flocking to meet the singer, whose real name is George O'Dowd. He added: “They go to his cell all day in twos and threes for autographs.

He added: “He broke down in the van to the jail and received a bit of abuse for crying.

“The officer told him to keep his head up. He was offered a place on the vulnerable prisoner wing but turned it down. Instead he is with the normal population, from murderers to remand prisoners.”

Dread is believed to be on remand facing burglary charges.

George, a recovering junkie, is said to have been horrified when he arrived in his cell to find the sheets had not been changed since the last inmate.

He asked for fresh sheets and was issued with some.
