'Autograph' cost Boy George £36,000 / Une signature d'autographe coûte 36.000 livres à Boy George

Gobsmacked Boy George signed an "autograph" for a fan while DJ-ing at a gay nightclub - only to be told it was a £36,000 writ.

The gay entertainer was on the decks at 3am amid hundreds of revellers, when a lurking solicitor sidled up to the DJ stand.

Amid the writhing bodies and pumping music the lawyer, disguised as a clubber, handed the pop star a piece of paper. Thinking it was an autograph-hunting fan, the DJ duly obliged with a quick signature - which will now cost him £36,000 - the cash he owes after being sued by a club promoter.

Croyant signer un autographe, Boy George a signé un document d'huissier de justice lui ordonnant de payer 36.000 livres (50.000 euros) pour dédommager une promotrice de clubbing dont les affaires ont fait naufrage suite à l'annulation par le DJ-chanteur d'une prestation à Los Angeles en 2005. Le papier a été présenté à Boy George le dimanche 11 novembre, alors qu'il animait une soirée au club gay Essential à Manchester, selon le cabinet d'avocats engagé par la promotrice Kasia Saleh. Le chanteur avait annulé sa participation à une soirée organisée par Saleh à Los Angeles après son arrestation en octobre 2005 pour possession de drogues à New York. Boy George doit par ailleurs paraître devant un magistrat le jeudi 22 novembre après son inculpation pour «faux emprisonnement» d'un escort dans son domicile londonien
