BOW DOWN MISTER : le 3eme extrait et LE TUBE de martyrs mantras

Le 11 février 1991, sort BOW DOWN MISTER, le 3eme extrait et ce lui qui deviendra le plus grand tube de l'album THE MARTYRS MANTRAS.

Ce single est un hymne à RAMAKRISHNA avec la superbe voix de ASHA BOSHLE et la musique entraînante mélangeant du gospel, de la country et de l'indien.
Tout le monde le sait, George est devenu un dévot de KRISHNA, ce qui lui a permis de grandir et de murir à l'aube de ses 30ans.
BOW DOWN MISTER est la suite de "karma chameleon" : tout acte, toute pensée donne un résultat positif ou négatif dont le responsable aura à s'acquitter de toute façon dans cette vie ou dans une autre ce qui explique les conséquences de nos actions.

Le single sort dans une tres belle pochette à consonnance KITCH!

La version du 45T se nomme le "a small portion 2b polite mix" et est une version écourtée de l'album.
Les remixes du Maxi 45T est le "sitari bizzari mix" et "floating in the ganges-grid mix"!
Le 1er remix s'agit d'une version tres dance remixée par BRUCE FOREST du FON FORCE... (remix de after the love). Le 2eme est plutôt instrumentale avec surtout la voix de ASHA BHOSLE.
Le maxi cd français et anglais comporte 3 titres : la version du 45t, la version album de "love hurts" et le superbe remix "nayana banana govinda goulash mix"!!

Le clip est superbe!! Il represente George dans une veste violette chantant parmi toutes une série d'image kitch de l'inde et de divinités indous... une femme avec une coupe affro danse habillée d'une vaste robe blanche...
Le clip représente la joie de vivre et véhicule une image positive du nouveau BOY GEORGE!!!

ENFIN!! ENFIN!!! ENFIN!!!!!! BOY GEORGE rentre au top 50!!!!! Ce titre est énorme succès et rentre à la 28eme place du Top 50 français pour y grimper même jusqu'à la 11eme place du top national!!!!!!!! Cela faisait depuis Everything i own que l'on avait pas vu cela!!
En Angleterre il grimpa jusqu'à la 27eme place et 14eme en Italy...
George regagne enfin la crédibilité commerciale de ses débuts.... même si sa crédibilité artistiques est malheureusement trop souvent sous estimé!!!!.....
Le single sera un succès jusqu'à juin 1991, laissant la place à GENERATION OF LOVE part2!!
