Two years after sweeping up alongside New York's strongest, Boy George is showing he believes in a little "karma."

He announced yesterday that he will perform a free concert at the New York City Department of Sanitation's Family Day in August.

The singer says he wants to show his appreciation for how well workers treated him while he performed several days of court-ordered community service in 2006.

He received the sentence after pleading guilty to filing a false report of a burglary at his apartment in Lower Manhattan. When police showed up, they found cocaine.

Singer Boy George has an unusual stop on his North American tour in August -- the New York City Department of Sanitation's Family Day.

Boy George -- whose real name is George O'Dowd -- said that he wants to repay workers who were so nice to him when he did community service two years ago sweeping city streets.
