L'album rencontra que tres peu de succès dû au manques de promo certains fait par la maison de disques virgin... En effet, celle ci se préocuppant beaucoup plus de l'état de santé de Boy George... George rencontrant de sérieux problemes de drogues depuis la jamaique...
La seances de fotos pour la pochette dut un désastre.... Boy george est tres beau sur la pochette mais il faut savoir qu'il etait à ce moment là, malade comme chien.... La seances fut prise séparément du groupe....
Un 2eme single, après MOVE AWAY au succes certain, toutefois mitigé à l'international, fut GOD THANK U WOMAN... Le clip fut tourné à la vite, l'entourage craignant que George ne s'effondre d'un instant à l'autre... Boy george tourna le clip completement shooté à la coke que l'un de ses amis (Ginty) lui envoya dans un boitier de cassette... Pour ce clip, le réalisateur Steve Barron utilisa un procédé qui superposa le groupe entrain de jouer avec celles de Brigitte Bardot, Raquel Welch et d'autres stars... GOD THANK U WOMAN fut classé uniquement 31eme dans les charts anglais mais ne fut pas sortis dans l'exagonal... Un flop!!!!
Un 3eme single sortis... GUSTO BLUSTO mais ne remporta aucun succes! Une sorte de clip est monté si besoin est, avec des images d'archives avec ecrit en gros sur l'écran "GUSTO BLUSTO..." lol! Ce single ne fut classé dans aucun charts... car le groupe ne fut pas capable d'en faire la promo car Boy george rentra dans un état maladif encore plus intense qu 'auparavant...
Un 4eme single fut nommé : Heaven's Children (anciennement nommé inequality) mais fut tres vite abandonné sur les étageres des projets avortés car le groupe se sépare.... Quelques maquettes furent tout de même envoyées à quelques radio mais AUCUNES n'en voulaient...
Toutefois, FROM LUXURY TO HEARTACHE fut classe dans le top ten anglais et compta parmi les 5 meilleures ventes aux Etats Unis... Malgré cela, moins d'un million dans le monde furent vendus, soit plusieurs millions de moins que WAKING UP WITH TO THE HOUSE ON FIRE...
