ONE on ONE : 2eme single de THE MARTYRS MANTRAS

George sort ONE ON ONE en février 1990, en single tirré de l'album THE MARTYRS MANTRAS et ce titre devient le 2eme single après AFTER THE LOVE.

Le titre est produit par moreprotein.

Petit succès d'estime dans les clubs uniquement en Angleterre, One on One retrace la complexité de l'amour et surtout l'expérience que George a eu avec son ex compagon bisexuel....(devinez qui?????)

Ce single est un up tempo mélancolique avec un refrain entêtant et superbement chanté par George. Le single reprend le remix de l'album :"fon force mix".
En face b, massive attack s'accapare le titre et en fait un génial remix...

Hélas, fautres de promo et pour raisons encore inconnues, le titre ne perce pas et fait un bide total dans l'europe et Etats Unis!!!!
Il n'est classé nul part que ce soit en Angleterre et en Europe... donc il ne sort pas en France!

Pourtant, le clip est sublime! On y voit George, crane rasé chantant dans un monastere indou. Divers danseurs font des chorégraphies au Rythme de la chanson....
L'image est superbe et tres coloré ce qui en fait un des plus beaux clips de George....

La pochette illustre un foetus sur un fonc noir avec l'inscription de JESUS LOVES YOU et ONE on ONE en lettres gothique doré.....
Pochette classieuse et magnifique..... mais ni la pochette et le clip n'aide le titre à se vendre ou à être classé dans les hits parade....

Cest à rien ni comprendre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
