REEDITION du single GENERATION OF LOVE

juin 1991, re sort GENERATION OF LOVE avec le remix "commercial" : "la la gone gaga mix"!
Avec ce remix, George nous fait le coup "tube de l'été" avec la lambada-gypsy king avec un zeste de ragga-muffin rappeux chanté par AMOS et MC KINKY...

La face b est le mix "road to basra mix" qui est une version écourtée de l'original!

La pochette est belle sans plus! George apparait sous un fond jaune avec une photo de l'époque de "tense nervous headache"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COMME SI GEORGE NAVAIT FAIT DE SCEANCES FOTOS PLUS RECENTES ET SUPERBES DEPUIS 1988!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

C'est le grand retour de AMOS que nous connaissons déjà puisqu'il était le fameux Captain Crucial de Culture Club que l'on a connu sur "love twist" entre autre...

Tout est là pour faire de GENERATION OF LOVE un tube assuré!!!!
En effet, George souhaite redonner une seconde chance à superbe titre au succes sous estimé en 1990 dû au clip censuré....

Un 2eme clip "soft" est tourné avec des dragqueen habillé facon espagnol qui sont dans les choeurs, et George apparait SUPERBE!!!! avec le retour du chapeau.... et un maquillage sublimement bien fait!
Une chouette apparait au début et à la fin du clip...
Ce clip est superbe!!!

Hélas, le GENERATION OF LOVE-LA LA GONE GAGA MIX connut un succes d'estime uniquement, sans doute écrasé par la tornade "bow down mister"!

Il se classe 34eme du top 50 français mais ne grimpera pas plus haut! En angleterre, il grimpa jusqu'à la 28eme place..... mais ne resta pas longtemps dans les charts...

POURKOI???? POURQUOI???? PORQUE????? WHY??????
